An unvented hot water cylinder holds heated water under extreme pressure, providing instant hot water the minute a tap or valve is opened. It's completely pressurised which is why it has the name "unvented" – meaning you don't need a vent to outside. They take up less space than traditional systems, as there is no need for a cold water tank.
